A technologically advanced cultural experience to commemorate the Sorolla centenary
A tribute to the Valencian artist through the new generation exhibition technologies that the current moment provides us with
GO TO THE SITEThe great exhibition dedicated to Joaquín Sorolla, one of the most celebrated painters of the centuries worldwide, arrives in Barcelona, from Valencia, to commemorate the centenary of his death.
The exhibition, within the programming of the SOROLLA YEAR, can now be visited at the Center d'Art Amatller, a new exhibition space of more than 1,250 square meters, located in the Casa Amatller on Paseo de Gracia, in the modernist “ Mansana” from Discòrdia.
The Center d'Art Amatller is a new exhibition space format that combines museography and cutting-edge technology, such as immersive audiovisual projections and virtual reality, to experimentally highlight artistic, historical and cultural content.
“SOROLLA, UNA NOVA DIMENSIÓ” is a tribute to the Valencian artist through the new generation exhibition technologies that the current moment provides us with. Thus, the exhibition is based on a didactic and interactive museography with 360º immersive projections, virtual reality, digital installations, set designs and other technological resources.
As a novelty compared to the Valencia exhibition, in Barcelona we will have original works by the artist from the Montserrat Museum, the Joan Abelló Museum, Mollet del Vallès and four private collectors.
A rich and innovative proposal aimed at its most demanding and convinced audiences, but also at new audiences, further removed from the conventional cultural offer, through a staging with great sensory impact and a rigorous scientific and academic base.
