We are proud to present at Palau Martorell the most extensive retrospective ever dedicated to Steve McCurry: more than 150 works spanning a career of over forty years, spread across three floors completely imbued with the power of an boundless vision. More than an exhibition, ICONS is an emotional journey through the themes that have shaped McCurry's work: identity, childhood, spirituality, dignity, and the fragile bond between humanity and nature.
Freed from rigid chronologies or predetermined routes, the exhibition invites visitors to move according to their own sensibility, guided solely by emotion. Faces, places, and stories engage in a silent dialogue across cultures and eras, revealing a universal language based on empathy and human connection.
From iconic portraits to scenes of everyday resilience, McCurry transforms fleeting encounters into enduring images that speak of fragility, hope, and the shared human experience. In an age marked by distraction and division, these photographs invite us to pause, to truly see, and to recognize ourselves in others.
