Under the eternal spell of the moon that Federico García Lorca both revered and feared, our show "LUNA" is born, a theatrical dance inspired by the poet's deep and dark connection to the nocturnal star, a symbol of life, death, and inevitable destiny.
In the pre-logical cosmos of his literature, Lorca's Moon emerges as a powerful and macabre force: the eternal seductress, the dancer of death who, with her silent dance, draws souls toward the final mystery. In the Romance of the Moon, it calls and weaves the thread of destiny with its dance, reflecting a vision where beauty, pain, passion, and death coexist under its light.
In this poetic and musical journey through lunar mysteries, José Antonio González recites Lorca's prose and narrates the story from the perspective of historian Ian Gibson, one of the great experts on Lorca's life.
Alongside him, the Moon comes to life in the voice of Alicia Ramos. Silvia Herrerías, Rocío Pozo, and Rocío Mora dance to the sound of Yuniel Rascón's flamenco guitar, Eduardo Corcuera's piano, and Cani Huertas' percussion, in an eternal ode to Lorca's spirit.
